The story behind Angie’s Tiers of Joy
In May of 2020, I started an Instagram account to post different desserts I had made for friend’s birthdays or just for fun. At the time, I was working full-time for a tech company and baking on the side when I had free time. It wasn’t until my mom’s wedding day that things really took off. I got to make her wedding cake!
Her wedding day was an incredible day for me for so many reasons, but it really brought me clarity in my passion for baking and how far I wanted to take it. Getting to play a part in someone’s big day like that, (let alone my own mother!) was a feeling like no other. There was no going back after that. I bought all the things - fancy cake pans, tools, utensils, etc., and dove headfirst into all the content and knowledge that resonated with me. After some time, an endless amount of encouragement and support from friends over the years, here we are… on my own website, making yummy treats for all of you!
Thanks so much for reading my story, and for being a part of my journey. Oh, and for anyone that wants to see the infamous wedding cake, it’s pictured below!
With love,
Angie
The cake that started it all.
Two-tiered cake.
Vanilla cake on top.
Chocolate cake on bottom.

Favorite dessert?
Anything biscoff. Bonus points if it's chocolate and biscoff. A snickerdoodle filled with biscoff, a chocolate cake with biscoff filling, a biscoff cupcake with biscoff cookie bits sprinkled on top.
Cookie butter is a way of life.
Favorite treat to bake?
Cookies, always cookies. It's the nostalgic factor for me, having grown up with my family baking hundreds of cookies around the holidays. It still hasn't gotten old.
A fun fact about me?
My baking journey started in Maryland, my home state. It has continued in Arizona, my current home.
“Angie’s chocolate cakes will put Portillo’s and Bundt cakes out of business! I can’t wait for her to cater more events for me in the future.”
